Itinerary

01 SAT. Madrid - Arrival

Today's Highlights: Evening transport to the Gran Vía district.
Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the airport, we shall be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
Check the informative panels in the hotel reception area for the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers to receive information about the circuit. Towards the end of the day, we provide transfers to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de Es¬paña and Gran Via; a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern are some of the options.

02 SUN. Madrid

Today's Highlights: Madrid city tour. Stroll through the Retiro Park. Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring. Night transfer
The day starts about 08.30 hrs with a comprehensive tour through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. Visit to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Admission to Las Ventas Bullring included. This is one of the most famous bullrings in the world where we will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
At sunset, we provide a transfer to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many restaurants serving different exquisite cuisines (Indian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Spanish, International) in which to enjoy a pleasant dinner. Return to the hotel.

03 MON. Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Montserrat - Barcelona

Today's Highlights: Basílica del Pilar. Visit to a medieval monastery. Ride on a rack train..
We depart early in the morning from Madrid. Heading towards Aragón, we pause our journey in ZARAGOZA. Our guide will join the group to Basílica del Pi¬lar. Afterwards, the group will have free time to visit this impressive sanctuary and enjoy the city centre. Later, we make our way to Cataluña to the Monastery of Poblet, surrounded by walls in a beautiful setting, this is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). We then go on to the Monastery of Montserrat where we include a ride on the rack train for the fantastic views this gives.
Continuation to BARCELONA, arrival in the late afternoon.
Important note: in the winter months, from November to March (both included), due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited (so that we can reach Montserrat in the daylight)

04 TUE. Barcelona

Today's Highlights: city tour of Barcelona. Night transfer to Olympic Port.
In the morning, we make a tour of the city, its Ramblas, the works of Gaudi, the memories of the Olympic Games. Afternoon free. In the evening we include a transfer to the Olympic Port, an area with numerous restaurants and lots of nightlife and entertainment.

05 WED. Barcelona- Girona- Nimes- Pont du Gard- Mirmande- Grenoble

Today's Highlights: Girona, Provenzal region in France. Dinner included.
We leave Barcelona for the North of Catalonia. A stroll in GIRONA and its very beautiful historic centre, with the cathedral standing out with its great staircase. We pass the border to France and cross Provence. We stop in NIMES, which was an important city in the Roman Empire, where concerts and bullfighting are still held in its ancient amphitheatre, almost 2000 years old. We also see the PONT DU GARD, or Gard Bridge, an impressive Roman aqueduct. At the end of the afternoon, we make a stop in MIRMANDE, a magnificently well preserved ‘Provencal’ village, with great views over the Rhône Valley. On our arrival at the hotel, near GRENOBLE, dinner included and accommodation.

06 THU. Grenoble- Geneva- Chillon- Gruyere- Gstaad

Today's Highlights: Switzerland with Lakes and Mountains. Chocolate factory.
We travel to Switzerland. GENEVA, arrival. With our guide, we will go to the Palace of Nations (the headquarters of the United Nations in Europe) to the pretty English Garden with its clock made of flowers and we can admire the “Jet d’Eau”, the tallest fountain in Europe. After this we go on to CHILLON CASTLE, built in the waters of the lake. (entrance included to this fantastic mediaeval castle). We go on to the picturesque walled village of GRUYERE, known worldwide for its cheese. Very nearby are a few of the main chocolate factories in Switzerland(NESTLE amongst them), and we visit the Cailler chocolate factory, with tasting included! Continuation along little roads amidst bucolic Mountain countryside and very picturesque wooden villages.- Arrival in GSTAAD a pretty little village with its wooden houses.

07 FRI. Gstaad- Grindelwald- Lucerne- Zurich

Today's Highlights: Swiss Alpine scenery with glaciers and mountains. Grindelwald, cable car and lunch included. Lucerne.
Today’s stage takes us through us beautiful high mountain scenery. We pass Interlaken and go around its very beautiful lake. Arrival in GRINDELWALD, time for a coffee before taking the cable car (ticket included) to Grindelwald first. We will walk down a track (30 minutes) to get to the ¨Bridge over the void¨ an ideal place to be seduced by the Swiss Alpine scenery surrounded by its glaciers and mountains. Lunch included. After this, we go on to LUCERNE, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. We continue to ZURICH, where there is time for a stroll in the centre before going to the hotel.

08 SAT. Zurich- Bern- Paris

Today's Highlights: Explore Bern, the capital city of Switzerland.
Embark on a scenic trip to BERN, the capital city of the confederation built around a bend in the Aare River, with its medieval architecture preserved in the Old Town. Time to take a stroll and breathe in the fresh air. Next, we journey to France. Enjoy beautiful lake views on our trip to Paris. We arrive in the evening.

09 SUN. Paris

Today's Highlights: City tour in Paris. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. A boat ride along the Seine. Evening transfer.
A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose
Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or Monday)
At sunset transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque area of the historic centre where you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to the hotel.

10 MON. Paris - Rouen

Today's Highlights: Rouen historic centre.
We go to the centre of Paris, to the area of the Louvre Museum. Free time. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris.
At around 18.00 hrs we will leave Paris for ROUEN, city museum with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches. Accommodation in the city.

11 TUE. Rouen - Canterbury - London

Today's Highlights: Ferry crossing to United King¬dom. Stroll alongside London Bridge.
We will take a stroll in the centre of Rouen to admire its magnificent cathedral and photograph the ancient streets of the historic centre. After this we travel to the north of France. Next, we leave on a ferry across the English Channel to reach CANTERBURY, the religious capital of England with a very attractive historic centre. Continuation to London. On arrival in London, before going to the hotel, there will be time around LONDON BRIDGE to see it lit up, to see the modern buildings of the city and have dinner in one of the restaurants of the area.

12 WED. London

Today's Highlights: Visit London. English Teatime. Transfer to Soho.
Get to know LONDON on a locally guided tour featuring style, cul¬ture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of Lon¬don and Buckingham Palace, where we shall be able to watch the famous “Changing of the Guard” (depending on the season).
In the afternoon, at 17.00hrs, after a period of free time, we invite all our travellers to a traditional Afternoon Tea.
In the evening, a stroll through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho, with its atmosphere, its theatres and its entertainment. Sit down for dinner at your preferred restaurant (Indian, Chinese, Thai, in¬ternational, and so on) in the lively district.

13 THU. London - Colchester - Ferry

Today's Highlights: British Museum. Pleasant hill scenery. Ferry crossing.
After breakfast, we will go to the British Museum, one of the main and oldest museums in the world. At lunch time, we provide transfer to Camden, a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London where we can see relics from cultures all around the globe. Free time. At around 16.00hrs, we will leave for COLCHESTER, known as the most ancient city of England. Time to stroll. We will then board a modern ferry in Harwich, and take a night voyage in cabins with bathroom.
Important note: The ferry used has a limited number of cabins. Sometimes we might change the stage, leaving London at 15.00 hrs and taking the railway tunnel under the English Channel, and spending the night in Antwerp.

14 FRI. Ferry- Volendam - Amsterdam

Today's Highlights: Picturesque typical village of Volendam. Visit to Amsterdam.
At around eight in the morning, we reach Holland (Hoek Van Holland) and we visit VOLENDAM, a very picturesque fishing village. After this, we travel to Amsterdam where we include a panoramic visit of the city to see its narrow canals, the Dam Platz, its official buildings and parks. We will also see the technique of cutting diamonds. A large part of the visit will be done on foot, the information will be given through headphones.
Time for dinner in Rembrandtplein with its many restaurants from all corners of the World, near the red light district, with its liberal values. It is very likely that you will have heard about this neighbourhood.

15 SAT. Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin

Today's Highlights: Visit the village that was made famous through the Pied Piper of Hamelin children’s story.
We leave Amsterdam for Germany. En route, we stop at HAMELIN, a picturesque German town. Here, many shops and streets remind us of the town’s legend: The Pied Piper of Hamelin, written by The Brothers Grimm. We continue toward BERLIN, arriving at the end of the afternoon.

16 SUN. Berlin

Today's Highlights: City tour of Berlin. We visit the Holocaust Me¬morial and the Berlin Wall Museum.
Ease your way into the local culture with a guided visit of Germany’s incredible capital, Berlin. We shall visit the historic centre, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gates and the city’s magnificent parks. We continue our visit by stopping at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. This visit helps us to understand the difficult situation the city experienced during the Twentieth Century. Time to explore the city. Enjoy an evening in the lively area of Kantstrasse, a district that offers different types of ethnic restaurants to dine in (Indian, Oriental, Italian, German, and so on).

17 MON. Berlin - Dresden - Prague

Today's Highlights:  Dresden. Evening transfer in Prague.
We journey through forests toward Dresden, a city which, due to its exceptional architectural and artistic heritage, has become one of the main tourist destinations in Germany. Time to explore some of the impressive palaces and to have lunch at one of its many restaurants and coffee shops. Later, we depart for the Czech Republic.
PRAGUE – Arrival. At the end of the afternoon, we provide transport to take you to the Old Town Square. This central location is full of energy and touristic activities. It’s a marvellous place to acquaint ourselves with Prague. Several restaurants offering cuisines from around the world will be waiting to delight your taste buds, including Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian. Return to the hotel.

18 TUE. Prague

Today's Highlights: City tour of Prague. Visit to Castle. Boat tour along the river.
Today we are visiting this capital city, which is the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local expert will provide a guided city tour, which will include the most outstanding monuments. During the visit, we walk through Prague Castle (admission included). Subsequently, we shall take a magnificent boat tour along Vltava River. Free time in the afternoon to explore Prague. In the evening, we will enjoy some time off in the historical city centre and there will be an opportunity for you to enjoy cuisines from around the world (including Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian). Return to the hotel.

19 WED. Prague
