Itinerary

 

01 SAT. Paris - Arrival.
TODAYS HIGHLIGHTS: Night-time transfer to the Montmartre neighborhood. Funicular ride (included).  

Welcome to Paris! On arrival at the airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. Free time. You will receive information about the start of the circuit during the afternoon, or you can check the informative panels in the hotel reception area.  

At the end of the evening, we provide transfer to the Montmartre dis­trict. This neighborhood is known for its painters, artists, and its cab­arets… Sit down to dinner and enjoy a magical night. You can choose between Indian, Chinese, French and American cuisines. We will ascend by funicular to the hill and admire the spectacular view of Paris from the top. Return to hotel.



02 SUN. Paris.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:  City tour in Paris. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower.  Boat ride along the Seine. Evening transfer.           

A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.           

Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or Monday).     

At sunset transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque area of the historic centre where you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to hotel.



03 MON. Paris - Rouen.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Rouen historic centre.          

We go to the centre of Paris, to the area of the Louvre Museum.  Free time. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris.

At around 17:30 hrswe will leave Paris for ROUEN,  city museum with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches.  Accommodation in the city.   



04 TUE. Rouen - Eperlecques - Canterbury - London.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: World War II bunker. Ferry crossing to United King­dom. Evening transfer to Camden district.          

We set off to the north of France. In Eperlecques we visit a huge bunker in the middle of the forest (admission in­cluded). From this point, V1 and V2 missiles were fired to the UK. Next, we leave on a ferry across the English Channel to reach CANTERBURY, the religious capital of England with a very attractive historic centre. Continuation to  LONDON  We provide transfer to Camden, a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London. Time for dinner in this area with numerous ethnic restaurants (Indian, Thai, Chinese, international, and so on).



05 WED. London.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit London.  English Teatime. Transfer to Soho.

Get to know LONDON on a locally guided tour featuring style, cul­ture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of Lon­don and Buckingham Palace, where we shall be able to watch the famous “Changing of the Guard” (depending on the season). If you wish, later on, we recommend that you go to the “London Eye” ferris wheel.

In the afternoon, at 5pm, after a period of free time, we invite all our travellers to a traditional Afternoon Tea.   

In the evening, a stroll through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho, with its atmosphere, its theaters and its entertainment. Sit down for dinner at your preferred restaurant (Indian, Chinese, Thai, in­ternational, and so on) in the lively  district.



06 THU. London- Cambridge- York- Durham.-
We will depart from London toward northern England. We will stop in CAMBRIDGE to admire its beautiful residential colleges. After lunchtime, we will continue to YORK where its cathedral, its Roman walls and lively shopping streets will create a charming memory.  Time for a stroll. Afterwards, we will continue north. DURHAM. Arrival in this small, charming medieval town full of life which has a wonderful cathedral right in front of its castle.


07 FRI. Durham- Alnwick- Edinburgh.-
We will travel to Scotland. We will stop in ALNWICK, a picturesque town with lovely gardens and a big medieval castle where the Harry Potter film was shot. We will later continue to EDINBURGH, where we will arrive at noon. This is Scotland’s capital city and one of the most active cities in Northern Europe. Its monumental centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its castle overlooks the city, its steep streets and its parks. Sightseeing tour with a local guide included.


08 SAT. Edinburgh- Distillery-Inverness-Loch Ness-Glasgow.-

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit included to a whisky distillery. Loch Ness.

We will continue enjoying a stage with gorgeous landscapes in the Scottish Highlands . We will make a stop to know a traditional whisky distillery. We will pass by INVERNESS the north of Scotland, city located very near the mysterious Loch Ness. After lunch we include the tickets to enter URQUHART medieval castle from where we will make a boat trip on the dark waters of the lake. Afterwards, we will travel throught FORT AUGUST with its sluice gate system and FORT WILLIAM, a tourist centre at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest summit in the United Kingdom. We will return south through the high plateaus where it is not difficult to glimpse the snow before contouring Loch Lomond, one of the most popular lakes in Scotland.

Arrival in GLASGOW at the end of the day.

 


09 SUN. Glasgow- Belfast- Dublin.-
We will depart from Glasgow toward southern Scotland. We will board a ferryboat in Cairnryan. Journey toward Northern Ireland. Arrival in BELFAST, Northern Ireland’s capital city.  This monumental city is overcoming its religious conflicts. We will resume our journey to EIRE (Ireland). Arrival in DUBLIN at the end of the day.


10 MON. Dublin.-
Sightseeing tour of DUBLIN, Ireland’s peaceful capital city. We will enjoy a stroll on the banks of River Liffey, visiting its parks, its old university and its lively downtown streets. We will stroll around Trinity College (depending on the duration of sunlight, this visit may take place the afternoon before, upon arrival in Dublin). Free afternoon.


11 TUE. Dublin- Caernarfon- Liverpool.-
We will board a fast ferryboat early in the morning. After a journey of two or three hours, we will arrive in Wales. We will visit CAERNARFON, a World Heritage site by the sea overlooked by an impressive castle. Time for lunch and a stroll. We will travel next to LIVERPOOL, where you will have a chance to visit The Beatles Story exhibition.

12 WED. Liverpool- Stratford- Oxford- London.-
We will travel in southern England. We will visit STRATFORD UPON AVON, Shakespeare’s hometown. Time for lunch and a stroll. Afterwards, we will travel to OXFORD, a town that is synonymous with study and culture. Kings, statesmen, philosophers and scientists have studied there. We will continue to LONDON. Late afternoon arrival.



13 THU. London - Colchester - Ferry.

After breakfast, we will go to the British Museum, one of the main and oldest museums in the world where we can see relics from cultures all around the globe. Free time.

At around 4 PM, we will leave for COLCHESTER, known as the most ancient city of England. Time to stroll. We will then board a modern ferry in Harwich, and take a night voyage in cabins with bathroom.

Important note: The ferry used has a limited number of cabins. Sometimes we might change the stage, leaving London at 3 PM and taking the railway tunnel under the English Channel, and spending the night in Antwerp.



14 FRI. Volendam - Amsterdam.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:   Picturesque typical village of Volendam. Visit to Amsterdam.

At around eight in the morning we reach Holland (Hoek Van Holland) and we visit VOLENDAM, a very picturesque fishing village. After this, we travel to AMSTERDAM where we include a panoramic visit of the city to see its narrow canals, the Dam Platz, its official buildings and parks. We will also see the technique of cutting diamonds. Transfer to Rembrandtplain with its many restaurants from all corners of the World, near the red light district, with its liberal values . It is very likely that you will have heard about this neighborhood.



15 SAT. Amsterdam - Brussels - Bruges - Paris.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Feeling Belgium. 

We will leave for BRUSSELS, and will have time in the Grand Place and take a stop to photograph the Atomium. Later in BRUGES, the marvellous Flemish city known as the ¨northern little Venice¨. Time for lunch. Continuation to France. PARIS, arrival at the end of the day.  

 

Recommendation: If you start or end your trip in Paris, we advise you to book an extra day or two in this city. In this way, you will be able to get to know Euro Disney, Versailles and other places of interest.
